In the north west corner of France, Brittany is a region of craggy headlands, coastal forts, sandy beaches, pretty villages and beautiful inland scenery. Brittany is a superb destination for an all-round family holiday and you will receive a warm welcome from the Bretons, who are deeply proud of their Celtic heritage and are happy to share their beautiful region and culture with you. Visit the medieval city of Quimper, the ancient walled port at Concarneau, the magnificent Mont Saint-Michel or discover the French version of the legend of the Knights of the Round Table at the fairytale castle at Josselin. The Bretons maintain long sea-faring traditions and consequently they produce some superb fish and shellfish dishes. As a gastronomic alternative try some delicious Breton crêpes accompanied by some locally produced cider or chouchen, a drink made from honey.
